I started discovering computers in the late 1980's playing Frogger on my father Gino's Commodore 64. Feeding off the Visual Basic (VB) scripting experience demonstrated by my dad I started modifying games such as Gorilla. During the years attending elementary school I dabbled in the early workings of AOL Online, CompuServe, and a slew of other Internet providers. In sixth grade I was introduced to GeoCities, one of the first widespread free web hosts available on the Internet. By analyzing the source code of existing web pages I discovered how to display images, text, and scripts online with HTML. All through high school I continued to improve upon and revamp my personal homepage.
In September of 2000 I started attending the University of Wisconsin- Stout. From 2002-2005 I updated and maintained the Chemistry Department website (Since upgraded to a University-wide content management system in 2007). Experimenting with open-source scripts and CSS I continued to improve upon the Chemistry website to make it a positive learning experience. During college my friends and I founded the campus organization P.O.N.G. (People's Organization of Network Gaming). P.O.N.G. hosted regular LAN parties in the basement of the dorms and funded itself by selling networking cables to incoming freshman. I graduated college in 2005 with a concentration in Web Design and Digital Graphics.
These days you can find me helping my friends and family with their technological needs or surfing the net for innovations in open-source applications and scripts. I continue to enhance my knowledge of web languages such as PHP/MySQL, ASP.NET, ColdFusion, Javascript, AJAX and Ruby on Rails.
